Wow. I let a few people see a piece of my art (Horse WIP) over the past few days, and I already have a few commissions! I didn't think my art was good enough to get paid for it! My friend's husband wants me to draw a picture of their farm, to pass down over the generations. He's going to pay me $100 for it. Another friend wants me to draw her paint stallion, Chief. She's going to make a sign out of it. A geneticist I know wants me to draw some illustrations for a book he's writing about genetics. I can't believe it! This was just over three days! These will be the first drawings I've ever been paid for. I want to eventually get into doing pet portraits for people. Does anybody have any ideas on how much to charge for pet portraits in pencil?
